Hi, my name is Brittny!
I am the owner of Risen Light Photography. I’ve been married to my husband for 8 years and am a Mother of a joyful and radiant two year old boy and a sweet baby girl. We also have two 3 legged Pitbulls. My husband will tell people bizarre stories as to how they lost their legs. One story is that we race them so we had their legs removed for weight reduction. Truth is, we adopted them both without their fourth leg due to car accidents. Let me tell you, it doesn’t stop them from living their best lives.
I started my photography business after my son was born so I could stay home with him. After two and a half years, I am now able to live my dream!
Growing up, my Dad always had a camera or camcorder (ya know, for VHS tapes) in his hand. I remember coming home from church on Easter one year and my Dad made my sister and I take pictures before we could go play. I was not happy but I cooperated. I remember my Dad saying, “One day, you’ll be thankful to have these photos”. He was right! I am so grateful I can look back on the details of memories I would’ve easily forgotten. .
This is why I love taking pictures for other people. I want to give them the gift of reliving moments in their lives that may have been forgotten. Our kids grow up too fast and our wedding days are over in the blink of an eye. If I can help you relive the memories and emotions of a day or season in your life, then I will have accomplished my mission.
